INDIA Youth against NEET Scam

Our Special Correspondent
India Youth Front, the unity of youth organisation of INDIA bloc parties, held a protest at Jantar Mantar in Delhi on July 1, against irregularities in competitive exams, including NEET-UG. All India Youth Federation (AIYF) general secretary Sukhjinder Mahesari, Indian Youth Congress (IYC) president Srinivas BV, Samajwadi Yuvajan Sabha chief Fahad Alam, ChhatraYuva Sangharsh Samiti (CYSS) national in-charge Anurag and other leaders were present at the protest. Communist Party of India (CPI) national secretary Amarjeet Kaur delivered the key address. The India Youth Front (IYF) demanded the resignation of the Union education minister, dismissal of the National Testing Agency (NTA), and a re-exam of NEET as soon as possible.
CPI national secretary Amarjeet Kaur congratulated the Indian Youth Front for their intensified protest against the BJP led Union government. Youth and students have always played a significant role in the independence struggle. Their contribution in determining the future of the country is immense. Khudiram Bose was 19 years and Bhagat Singh was 23 when they became matryrs, sacrificing their lives for this country. Pritilata, Snehalata and Kalpana Dutt were also very young when they fought for freedom. It was only RSS and its leaders who submitted themselves to colonial regime and betrayed the independence struggle. The Constitution crafted by the people and great leaders is a commitment and guarantee to ensure democracy, secularism, linguistic rights etc. The directive principles of Constitution have clearly instructed the government to ensure and provide free education. Hence it is the responsibility of the government to provide education, employment to the youth. BJP led government has completely violated the directive policy and fundamental rights of the people. Thereby they have pulled our country backwards.
The youth is not demanding anything superficial. They are demanding the rights guaranteed by Constitution. Even after 77 years of achieving freedom the inequality levels are alarmingly high and equivalent to those rated during British Raj, she said. This struggle against pro-corporate government should be carried forward. Demands of youth should be fulfilled. Amarjeet Kaur concluded her address by declaring the solidarity and support of CPI to the protest.
In his address to protest AIYF general secretary Sukhjinder Mahesari said that the protest against NEET scam is spreading like wild fire all around the country. We (youth organisations of INDIA bloc parties) are staging protests against the Union government who facilitated the scam. The struggle against such scams and schemes like Agnipath will continue. India will witness more intensified protests in coming days. If the government is planning to continue to go forward with scams and paper leaks, BJP will feel the heat of the youth rage. The Union government wants the youth to remain silent on grave issue. For this they are resorting to the measures similar to that of colonial regime. The paper leaks and scams are severe atrocities against the students who spent years in preparation for exam. The youth are fighting for employment and better job opportunities. In 2014, BJP had promised that they will create two crore employment annually. Instead of fulfilling this promise BJP led government created widespread unemployment.
